Work on Ankara-Istanbul Yht Line

Works on the Ankara-Istanbul Yht Line: The road laying works have been completed in the 7-kilometer section within the scope of Gebze Köseköy Rehabilitation Project, which will start the railway transportation between Ankara and Istanbul from 3 hours to 112 hours, in the part of the YHT line in Izmit.
Electrical works will start in the part of the YHT line in Izmit, which will reduce the railway transportation between Ankara and Istanbul from 7 hours to 3 hours.
According to the information received, within the scope of Gebze-Köseköy Rehabilitation Project, road laying works were completed in the 112 kilometer section.
Within the scope of the project, electrification works will be carried out in the direction of Ankara along the train line starting from the direction of 3 km Izmit direction of Köseköy Train Station.
Within the scope of the testing of electrification facilities, 28 volts of high voltage will be given from 08.00:27 on Saturday, 500 December.
The line where the 200 employees work is planned to be run in February or March of next year between Gebze and Köseköy.
With the opening of the YHT line between Ankara and Istanbul, the 7 hour rail travel time between the two cities will be reduced to 3 hours.
