Press release from TCDD for radiation scrap claims

TCDDden press release for the claims of radiation scrap: On some of the newspapers' websites, there have been reports that the TCDD has been exposed to radiation.
It is deemed necessary to make the following description on the subject.
1- The scrap of our enterprise is collected by the Institute of the Machinery Chemistry Institute in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers and it is taken as scrap.
2- In this context, the scrap of Halkapınar Locomotive Workshop Directorate was delivered to MKE Institution.
3- These scraps were taken over by radioactive panels in Aliağa and were checked by MKE.
4-12 from Halkapınar 2013 was delivered to MKE on November 95.
5- However, one of the trucks loaded with scrap was returned to our enterprise due to the warning of radioactive panels.
6- Thereupon, on November 13 2013 investigation to be made Turkey Atomic Energy Agency has been consulted, scrap yard simultaneous measurements are made and checked by experts engaged in the measurement of MKE scrap.
7- No signs of radiation were detected on the site.
8- The returned scrap is 3 kg. In this study, no radiation was detected on a fragment of 1960 model locomotives, which is not used today.
9- The part in question was isolated and protected, and the site was isolated.
10-TAEK will share the issue with the public.
11- As alleged in the news, the claims that all of the scrap and area are radiation, and that the scrap is a threat to the people of Izmir is unrealistic.
