Marmaray was not affected by 4.7 earthquake

Marmaray was not affected by the 4.7 earthquake: The 4.7 earthquake that took place in Marmara Ereğlisi did not affect Marmaray, the project of the century.
Kandilli Observatory Earthquake Research Institute Electronics and Communications Engineer Msc Süleyman Tunç stated that the earthquake was below the values they determined and that Marmaray continued to operate during the earthquake. Defined as the project of the century, Marmaray continued its voyages, not being affected by the 4.7 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Marmara Ereğli yesterday morning. Kandilli Observatory Earthquake Research Institute Electronics and Communication Senior Engineer and Marmaray Early Warning and Health Monitoring System Consultant Süleyman Tunç said that the 4.7 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Marmara Ereğli did not affect the operation of Marmaray.
THE 15 WAS INSTALLED IN THE MARMARAY VILLAGE EARLY WARNING STATION
Stating that they took action thanks to the early warning system, Süleyman Tunç said, “After the 6.13 magnitude earthquake that occurred as of 4.7 this morning, the relevant people in Marmaray contacted us within 6.14, that is, the earthquakes together in about 30 seconds. Because our early warning system gave an alert in working condition here. As soon as we got this early warning system, we immediately checked the tunnel with our health monitoring systems, which is also a health monitoring system, that is, our tunnel with about 26 accelerometers, and saw that nothing was happening ”. Süleyman Tunç said, “We have 10 stations including 5 terrestrial early warning stations and 15 early warning stations installed on the seabed located around the Kandilli Observatory Marmaray. We share the data from this station not only to Marmaray, but also to İGDAŞ and other relevant institutions and organizations, ”he said.
"IT IS SENSIBLE IN THE TUNNEL IN THE FACE OF AN EARTHQUAKE WHICH IS IMPORTANT"
Emphasizing that an acceleration of a thousand times the magnitude of the earthquake must occur in order to stop Marmaray, Tunç said; “One train went from Üsküdar to Sirkeci, another train came from Sirkeci to Üsküdar, there was an earthquake, but the magnitude of the earthquake between the two trains did not affect the operation of the trains in any way. If an acceleration of a thousand times greater than this earthquake could be felt, then the relevant friends had to stop the train. Currently, an earthquake of one thousandth magnitude has occurred. Our normal functioning continues. This has nothing to do with the magnitude of the earthquake. It is related to the earthquake and our distance from the fault produced. What matters is the sensibility in the tunnel in the face of an earthquake. " Indicating that the earthquake must be above a specified value in order to be alarmed on the Marmaray line, Tunç said, “When the early warning from Kandilli and the value of the early warning from the tunnel exceed the value we specified, a red, audible alarm starts to appear on the screen. "When an alarm occurs, depending on the magnitude of this alarm, our train will be stopped or resumed."
