High Speed ​​Train Planned Between Istanbul and Edirne: Edirne Governor Hasan Duruer said that Edirne will be a suburb of Istanbul in a sense with the high speed train project planned to be built between Istanbul and Edirne.
In his statement to the correspondent of AA, Duruer stated that the Minister of Health Mehmet Müezzinoğlu stated that the high-speed train project that will come to Edirne after the completion of Marmaray will accelerate.
Stating that the high-speed train will arrive in Edirne in 2017, Duruer said, “The high-speed train adds a lot to Edirne. Because Istanbul-Edirne will be reduced to 1 hour. In a sense, Edirne becomes the suburb of Istanbul by high speed train. "It improves both tourism and economy and contributes to the development of the social aspect."
Reminding that the construction of Demirhanlı Airport had started in the past, but was left unfinished, Duruer emphasized that a thousand 100 acres of pasture should be discovered and become an airport.
