DHL Opens New Terminal at Budapest Airport: DHL Global Forwarding, air and sea transport specialist within Deutsche Post DHL, has opened a new terminal at Budapest Airport.
Opened at Budapest Airport, this terminal will serve as Dhl's logistics center. Both Dhl Global Forwarding and Dhl Freight will be able to benefit from this terminal, which is located in a strategic area in terms of logistics.
17.000 m² of the terminal will be used for storage operations, 8.000 m² for offices and 3.000 m² for maneuvering.
Speaking at the opening of the terminal, Frank Appel, CEO of Deutsche Post Dhl said, “Gaining a new terminal in Budapest, an important development region in Central and Eastern Europe, is an important milestone for our group. This terminal will be a good example of Dhl's efforts to provide the best service to its customers by constantly expanding and investing. " said.
Zoltán Rezsek, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding in Hungary said, “As a customer-oriented group, we have refreshed our customer satisfaction by putting this terminal into operation. As Dhl Global Forwarding, we continue to provide the highest quality logistics solutions and will soon open up free internet access to our customers. More than 200 employees from the Dhl Global Forwarding and Freight departments will operate at this facility. We will provide around 18.000 tons of air cargo and 16.200 TEU sea cargo, more than 50.000 partial truck loads (LTL), 33.000 full container truckloads (FTL) logistics services annually. Our new facility has 46 docking stations and 48 loading and unloading gates. " said.
