After Marmaray, the Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Train project is on full throttle. Ankara-Istanbul between 3 hours will download even the last stop will be Pendik.
29 October 2013, the opening ceremony of Marmaray after the opening ceremony planned to be implemented in Ankara-Istanbul YHT line was announced. Total 9 will stop at the YHT line, passengers from Ankara to Istanbul, respectively Polatli, Eskisehir, Bozüyük, Bilecik, Pamukova, Sapanca, Izmit and Gebze will pass through Pendik. The 3 kilometer HR line will reduce the journey between two cities to 533 hours, allowing citizens to travel between Ankara and Istanbul at a cheaper price. Following Ankara-Eskişehir, Ankara-Istanbul line is expected to open up to 10 with a share of 78.
Ankara-Istanbul YHT line will be integrated to Marmaray with the suburban line at Pendik. Thus, uninterrupted transportation from Europe to Asia will be provided.
Both fast and cheap
No price policy has been determined for YHT yet. But the fare is more expensive than the 30 of the bus fare, the plane is aimed to be cheaper than the 30-40. Final prices will be determined by the opening of the line.
Ticket prices in Eskişehir-Ankara line, which was put into service before, are applied as 35 TL for business class and as 25 TL for economy class. Between Ankara and Istanbul, prices are expected to be around 110 TL in business and around 75 in the economy.
