The transfer between İZBAN and İzmir Metro will be made from the turnstiles at the entrances of the stations by using the new 7 meter wide bridge. Passengers will pass 90 minute ticket transfer once they pass through tourniquets. Kentfart in Kentapart using 90 minutes of transfers will not be charged.
İZBAN officials, who asked the passengers to comply with the signs and markers at the trains and stations, stated that the transfer in Halkapınar will become faster, more efficient and comfortable with the completion of the construction works. In addition to Halkapınar Station, the heart of the rail systems, the opening of the Crescent Transfer Station decreased significantly. With the completion of this second step, passengers will have the opportunity to transfer more quickly and efficiently. It was emphasized that the number of daily trips in rail systems in İzmir has exceeded 400 thousand, and it is stated that the works should be seen as the future preparation of the Izmir Metro, which will soon extend to Torbalı, Bergama and Selçuk and Üçkuyular. Once the rail system reaches full capacity, it will be able to serve 1 million people a day.
