Tram Service Line will be constructed next to Eskişehir Station Bridge: Demolition works will start on the Station Bridge due to the construction of the High Speed Train (YHT) line.
According to the written statement made by the Metropolitan Municipality, the State Railways will build a service line next to the Station Bridge in order to keep the tram stops in the course of demolition and tram services will continue without interruption during the demolition.
The request of the General Directorate of State Railways to demolish the Station Bridge within the scope of the Ankara-Istanbul YHT Project and Eskişehir train station infrastructure construction was examined and decided by the General Assembly of Transportation Coordination Center (UKOME).
Accordingly, the road to Tepebaşı from Kızılcıklı Mahmut Pehlivan Caddesi to the Factories Street will be closed to traffic for 19 months due to the collapse of the bridge and the construction of the tram temporary service road as of September 1.
Due to the work of the YHT and the railway station infrastructure construction project, it was decided to continue the temporary tram route between the Siloönü Street from the shopping center entrance in the Yeni Bağlar Mahallesi by making a temporary tramway between Siloönü Sokak.
In addition, the part between İsmet İnönü-1 Caddesi between Kızılcıklı Mahmut Pehlivan Caddesi and Fabrikalar Sokak will be closed to vehicle traffic for 19 months starting on September 3.
