College station was flooded as a result of the Metropolitan Municipality teams exploding the water pipe while breaking old stairs to make escalators. As a result of the accident, some parts of the station and the turnstiles were filled with water. The station, which was closed with security lanes for the cleaning staff to clean the water, was re-opened as a result of long efforts.
