The studies on the “Kırıkkale - Samsun Railway Line Project, which is approximately 450 km in length”, which will be realized by the General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments (AYGM), are continuing.
According to the information received by the Investments Magazine; The EIA Report prepared by MGS Project Engineering firm was approved by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
Approval of the Ministry of Development will be applied for the project to be included in the 2014 investment program. Experts will start work on expropriation plans, explorations and quantities, and the tender announcement can be made in the second half of 2014.
Survey project and engineering services carried out by Yüksel Proje company consists of KırıkkaleSamsun main line and two connection lines (Yerköy Connection Line and Amasya - Turhal Line).
54 bridges-viaducts, 21 tunnels and 5 stations will be included in the scope of the project. The railway will be constructed of electric and double track. The trains will be able to travel at 250 km per hour in passenger transport and at 80 km in freight transport. The project is planned to be put into service in 2018.
