Domestic tram will carry passengers after sandbag before silkworm

Native tram Silkworm sandbag before then will carry passengers: Turkey's first indigenous tram Silkworm produced in Bursa, will be subjected to a test drive with 19 thousand 740 kilos a month in sandbags. Then the Silkworm Sculpture Garage will start carrying passengers on the T1 line.

Under the consultancy of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Durmazlar Produced by the company and the driving test two days before the start of Turkey's first local tram 'Silkworm' successfully passed the tests with approximately 38-ton curb weight. During the tests carried out in order to see the problems that may occur on the line, it was observed that the rails were covered with 2-3 millimeters thick pitches in some regions and this layer served as isolation and the vehicle fell off the power due to the blocking of the current cycle. On top of that, the teams that started the work, cleaned the rails covered with tar. After the 6,5 kilometer line was cleaned, the tram completed the 5 tour without any problems.

Following the test drives closely, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Recep Altepe took the local tram, which he sat on the seat of the vatman last night, up to Atatürk Street. Native Bursa tram project is not a project of Turkey recalled that President Altepe, "Silkworm, illustrating the point that it was an important piece of Turkish engineering. Problems seen in ongoing test drives are fixed immediately. There has been no major problem so far. We can say that the rides made empty are completed without any problems. Now, tests will be done with sandbags and 1 month later, we will start passenger flights. Good luck to our Bursa already. " said.

Local Tramway Project Consultant Taha Aydin stated that the tram stops at some points during the test drives was deliberately distorted on social media, and claimed that there was a group in Bursa who wanted the project to fail. Aydın, explaining technically that the tram stops at certain points, said: “In the catenary system, the energy taken from the upper cable is given to the rails by means of wheels. The current loop is provided in this way. However, after the road asphalting works, in some regions the rails were covered with bitumen. With the passing of vehicles over it, layers up to 2 - 3 millimeters were formed here. Since the current loop is not fully maintained in these regions, the vehicle falls out of power. These points were cleaned and after this pause, the tram took 5 rounds without any problems. However, there is a group that is waiting for this project to fail, and when they saw that the tram stopped, they gladly made announcements on social media that 'the tram was on the way'. However, if they had waited another half hour, they would have seen that the tram continued on its way without any problems. "

TESTED IN SOAP RAILS

Reminding that all tests are carried out on the test track in accordance with international certification rules, Aydın said, “During the test, the slope areas are covered with a special soap and the ability to stop on both the ascent and the descent is examined. Although the tram we produced has a double engine group, it passed this test using a single engine group. All weather conditions were simulated on the rails lubricated with soap. In other words, our tram will operate smoothly in all weather conditions such as snow, winter and rain. We did not have any problems in starting and stopping at 8 percent slope in our trials on the normal line. We limited the maximum speed of 70 kilometers per hour to 50 kilometers in terms of safety and now we will carry out tests at full weight by putting 19 kilograms of sand bags. In accordance with international rules, this test will take 740 month. After the successful completion of these tests, passenger flights will begin. " he spoke.

SHADING SUCCESS

Expressing that the domestic tram is the pride of Turkish engineering, Aydın continued: “The wagons used in Bursaray line were produced by the German company Bombardier. When these vehicles arrived in Bursa, they were tested for 4 months. Even when the vehicles arrived, the air conditioners did not work, the doors opened and closed automatically. Some have had problems with the braking system. However, the vehicle produced by Turkish engineers is tried to be shadowed on the second day of the tests. It is not possible to understand this. There is a group that is waiting for the opportunity to prevent the vehicle from starting. However, I can confidently say that our tests will take 1 month and our curious people can stand around our line. Everyone will see for 1 month how the local tram can tour the streets of Bursa without any problems.
