When Abdülhamid II ascends the throne, he puts his hand on this issue; he does not face British and French capitalists competing for grabbing railroad concessions, and negotiates with Germany, which has emerged as a new force in this regard. He thinks that Germans are less dangerous than other countries. When we look at the Ottoman lands occupied by others, it decides that the Germans want to enter this business for economic benefit, not just to enter our territory.

When the line reaches Konya, the number of passengers and business volume in Haydarpaşa increases. Currently, a large station building is needed instead of the makeshift station building. Although the passenger section of Haydarpaşa Train Station was put into service during the reign of Abdulhamid II, the official opening of the station coincided with the birthday of Sultan Mehmet Reşad, as the sultan was dethroned without seeing the official opening, on November 4, 1909.
