Bartın - Amasra Distance Will Be In 5 Minutes

AK Party Bartın Deputy Yılmaz Tunç made examinations in the construction of Amasra Tunnel connection roads. Deputy Tunç stated that the transportation from Bartın to Amasra will be reduced to 5 minutes thanks to the tunnel and that it will be 10 minutes from Bartın-Amasra.
Mr. Tunç, accompanied by AK Party Amasra District President Bekir Karabacak and Provincial Assembly Member Uğur Timur, wished for the convenience of the workers working in the construction sector.
Visiting the workers working in the construction of connection roads, junctions and viaducts that continue at the entrance and exit of the Amasra tunnel between Bartın and Amasra district, the construction of which was started on May 21 and the excavation works were completed, Deputy Tunç said that they plan to open the Amasra tunnel to transportation in the autumn of 2013, and that the tunnel will reach Amasra. He said that observation terraces will be built at the exit of the minister and that local and foreign tourists will watch the beauties of Çeşm-i Cihan from the terrace. Stating that the excavation works of the 65-meter-long tunnel were completed in as little as 8 months, after working day and night, Deputy Tunç said, “Our road, which takes 17 minutes from the 30-kilometer-long winding roads between Bartın and Amasra, will decrease to 6 kilometers together with the tunnel after the tunnel is put into service. Transportation from Bartın to Amasra will take 5 minutes. Thus, our city center of Bartın and our historical and touristic district Çeşmi Cihan Amasra will be united. In addition, once the Amasra passenger pier, which is under construction, is put into service, transportation to Amasra from all over the world will also be provided by sea. Again, the 11-kilometer section between Bartın-Kurucaşile will be passed through 5 tunnels. We started the construction of a total of 22 kilometers of tunnels as round trips. Work in three of the tunnels continues with a 550-person construction site. From here, these big investments are transferred to Bartın. kazanI would like to thank our Prime Minister, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and our Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Binalı Yıldırım, and the employees of the Highways Administration and the contractor company.”
