Kardemir Approached 3 Million Tons Production Targets: Fadil Demirel, General Manager of Karabük Iron and Steel Factories (KARDEMİR), said, "It is very little time for us to reach 3 million tons in production."
Demirel, AA correspondent, said the 3 million tons of production target very close, the plans will be completed by the end of this year, he said.
Emphasizing that the factory currently has about 2 million tons of production, Demirel said:
"We have reached 4 per cent of the steel industry market in Turkey. In recent years, we have made significant investments in capacity expansion and product diversity. We continue to do. There is little time left to reach 3 million tons in production. We planned to produce all kinds of rail systems. Especially in rail production, we have a say in our region and our country. We have taken important steps in wagons, railway wheels, trusses and engineering. We will provide an important advantage to the automotive industry by producing steels that cannot be produced in our country. We will produce our electricity ourselves. In addition to all these, it continues to our significant environmental investments.
