Trans-Siberian Railway to be modernized
Speaking at the meeting of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, RF President Vladimir Putin said he would undertake a comprehensive modernization of Russia's transport infrastructure. Meanwhile, the Trans-Siberian Railway modernization project will be implemented. According to Putin's words, the correct railroad through Eurasia will be a key player between Europe and the Asia-Pacific region and will provide access to fast-growing Asian markets. The Russian President noted that an important project that would allow Russia to enter the Asian Pacific region would be the construction of a railway bridge over the Amur River.
