According to the information obtained from TCDD Regional Operation Directorate, road construction and renovation works on the 162 km line between Kayaş and Yerköy Stations, which are included in the investment program within the scope of Ankara-Sivas High Speed ​​Train Project, are about to be completed. Now it is time for Yozgat's second stage road renewal works, which will be maintained on the 153 km line between Yerköy Station and Kayseri. The works to be started on this route will be completed in 2.5 years if there is no disruption and in accordance with the modernization works, high speed train services that will reduce the 7-hour journey time between Ankara and Kayseri to 2 hours will start at the end of 2016. Thus, Kayseri will be the 5th province in the Central Anatolian basin to get fast train services after Ankara, Eskişehir, Konya and Sivas.

According to the information given, the railway administration is not satisfied with the 'high-speed train' project in Kayseri.
