Japanese-Turkish Culture Meets at TCDD Museum

Japanese-Turkish Culture Met at TCDD Museum: Japan Izmir Intercultural Friendship Association (JIKAD) brought Turkish-Japanese cultures together. The origami and photography exhibition opened at the TCDD İzmir Museum and Art Gallery was highly appreciated.

In addition to photographs reflected by the JIKAD's Japanese lens, Izmir's origami works were also exhibited. The opening was made by the Mayor of Konak. Hakan Tartan, founder of JIKAD, General Secretary of Development Agency Ergüder Can and JIKAD President Arzu Yücel and art lovers participated.

Mayor of Konak Hakan Tartan said that he liked the origami reflecting the Japanese culture and the photos about İzmir. Stating that Japanese people are different, loving and friendly, President Tartan said, “I am proud to see İzmir through the eyes of the Japanese. Origami, a Japanese art, is a folk art that reflects society. Such exhibitions strengthen Turkish-Japanese relations. Intercultural convergence is an important step for the future of society. ”
