Electric Rail Transportation Systems Symposium started
Eskişehir Metropolitan Mayor Yılmaz Büyükerşen said, “The people of Eskişehir loved the tram. 90 thousand passengers are transported by the tram and 100 thousand passengers on holidays. ”

Chamber of Electrical Engineers (EMO), Anadolu University, Eskisehir Branch, Eskişehir Osmangazi University (Eskisehir Osmangazi), Turkey Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), Mechanical and Chemical Industry Corporation (MKE), Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, Turkey Locomotive and Engine Industry Inc. (TÜLOMSAŞ) The "Electric Rail Transport Systems Symposium (ERUSİS 2013)", organized with the support of the Chamber of Mechanical Engineers, Local Administration Research Assistance and Education Association (YAYED), started at the ESOGÜ Congress and Culture Center.

Büyükerşen, in his speech at the opening ceremony of the symposium, said that the city has been adopted by public transportation by tram.

Büyükerşen reminded that the establishment of the Metropolitan Municipality of Eskişehir Light Rail System (ESTRAM) started transportation in December 2004 and said, “The people of Eskişehir loved the tram. 90 thousand passengers are transported daily by tram, and 100 thousand passengers are transported on holidays ”.
