Citizens, who set out to go to work in the morning, were surprised to encounter the local tram for the first time in the City Square. Metropolitan Mayor Recep Altepe, together with the Secretary General Seyfettin Avşar and his advisor Taha Aydın, examined the vehicle on display in the morning. Expressing that they are happy to break new ground with the local tramway as the Metropolitan Municipality, Mayor Altepe said, “We wanted to experience this pride of Bursa with all our people. As Bursa, we produced the domestic tram, which is the project of Turkey. We bought 6 of these vehicles when the manufacturing company gave the most suitable offer in the tender we opened. The construction of our inner city tram line has also reached the completion stage.

After about 2 months, these vehicles will start to carry passengers. We also wanted our people to see these vehicles on which they will travel soon. Quality will come to urban transportation with these world-class vehicles, which are more than nothing less than their counterparts. Image, noise and exhaust gas pollution will be eliminated. These vehicles will add value to all the streets they pass through,” he said.
