SNCF signs agreement with Spanish Comsa Rail Transport to get 25 share

On April 29, the French Railways freight operator, SNCF Geodis, signed an agreement to acquire 25% of the Spanish freight forwarding company Comsa Rail Transport (CMT). The deal was announced by Comsa EMTE.

CRT and SNCF Geodis announced that in Spain, taking advantage of the increasing standard width line ratio day by day, an important step was taken in the development of freight transport on the corridor on the France-Central Europe and Iberian peninsula, including the planned Mediterranean Corridor. In addition to this, feasibility studies have started in order to operate in a wider area for the trailer of trailer trucks, which is described by SNCF Geodis as the “railway highway”.
