Protest Action on YHT Line in Bilecik
Citizens living in Demirköy, in the Pazaryeri district of Bilecik, claimed that the connection of the YHT line with a village was blocked.
Demirköy residents protested at the YHT construction site because the Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Train (YHT), which is under construction in Bilecik, blocked the connection of a neighborhood with the village.
The villagers in the construction site of YHT met with the site officials.
Demirköy Headman, İsmail Uysal said, “You see the excitement of our citizens. There has been a house fire here before. The fire brigade could not enter, the house was completely burned. Our people are afraid. Since no further work can be done here after the high speed train passes, we want a very urgent route. Today we calmed the citizens. If the authorities do not find a remedy, more grave events may occur here. What we want is a passage that we can cross with at least an ambulance and our tractors by adding to the bridge in the future. "Currently, 39 families are suffering and there is no way to go," he said.
In the statement they made, the villagers said, “We have patients, we have disabled people, we have students. We cannot cross. There is a fire, the fire brigade cannot come. He gets sick and cannot enter the ambulance. There are 39 households here, they victimized them all. We want a passage here as soon as possible ”he said.
