Denizli will be reduced to 2 hours by train between Izmir: It has been noted that the first works have started in the double railway line project between Denizli and Izmir, announced by the Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Binali Yıldırım during his last visit to Denizli. TCDD 3rd Regional Deputy Manager Muhsin Keçe announced that Denizli-İzmir railway transportation, which has decreased from 7 hours to 4 hours with the new rail system, can be reduced to 2 hours with the completion of the second line.
Muhsin Keçe, Deputy Director of TCDD 3rd Regional, stated that the investment project work, which will provide a double line between Denizli and İzmir, without a level crossing, with electricity and with signalization, has started. Pointing out that the project works will be completed within this year, Deputy Director Keçe gave the news that the tender will be held next year. It is calculated that the Denizli-İzmir train journey, which has decreased from 7 hours to 4 hours with the renewed railway, will decrease to 2 hours with the construction of the second line. – Yeniasır
