Viaduct Road Opened for Tourism

Some measures were taken to reduce the intensity of morning and evening hours in Alsancak Station and its surroundings. The General Directorate of TCDD decided to use the viaduct road which was used by the trucks without going to city traffic. As a result of the measures taken in the morning, the passengers who took the passengers from the ship crossed the viaducts for the first time.
Port officials stated that these measures would relieve the city traffic significantly, and said, “During the arrival hours of the ships, more than 100 tour buses exit from the port gate and the station and its surroundings were losing time in the already busy bus in the morning. With the opening of the viaduct road in the port, a significant amount of traffic will be relieved, ”he said.

The passengers of the ship, which waited in the port of Bari in Italy and arrived directly to Izmir without stopping by the Greek island of Katakolon on the tour route, took a sigh of relief. The calm spring air at Alsancak port made the passengers who were stressed due to the storm on the ship.
