Marmaray and high speed train are ready on October 29! : Transport Minister Binali Yıldırım stated that they will make Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Train Line and Marmaray Project ready for opening on 29 October.
Arriving at Gebze CR3 Marmaray Construction Site by helicopter, Yıldırım, Kocaeli Governor Ercan Topaca held a meeting with the ministry and contractor company officials. In his speech here, Yıldırım stated that they will move to Bilecik after the meeting and that he will examine the works on High Speed Train on site.
Emphasizing that Gebze is one of the points where Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Train and Marmaray meet, Yıldırım said, “With the Marmaray Project, we want to open the line from Gebze to Pendik simultaneously. Time has become more and more productive by the end of April. We are in the most productive months of the year. This next 4 months is a golden time for us. Therefore, it is necessary not to use this time very efficiently and effectively ”.
Stating that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan attaches great importance to this project, Minister Yildirim said:
“We will make both the Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Train Line and the Marmaray Project ready for opening as of October 29th. Our Prime Minister has announced his commitment to the public several times before. Our duty is to do what is necessary. That is why we are holding joint meetings with our ministry, undersecretary, general managers, department heads, site chiefs and contractor companies. There is both a High Speed Train and a Marmaray team at this meeting. Thus, we take care to ensure a coordination. "
