The International Railway Aerodynamics Workshop to be organized by the Birmingham Railway Research and Training Center will be held in Birmingham, England, between 8-10 April 2013.
The International Railway Aerodynamics Workshop is an international workshop where a series of studies will be conducted on the aerodynamic effects of the increasing speed of passenger and freight trains, which are becoming increasingly important in railways.
In the workshop, the following topics will be covered: Aerodynamic friction and energy consumption in tunnels, Pressure in tunnels, Tunnel portals, Micro pressure waves, Pressure loading on runway structures, Passenger and runway workers, Effects of related train-induced air flow, Ballast change of train, Cross wind effects, overhead line and pantograph performance,
