In this context, negotiations have started with the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications and the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality.
Announcing the decisions of Kocaeli "2023 Transportation Vision Transportation Master Plan" at the meeting held at Kocaeli Chamber of Commerce (KOTO), Karaosmanoğlu stated that without environmental order and master development plans, the transportation master plan could not be made. He said they have completed their plans.
Kocaeli connections of the Northern Marmara Motorway
Karaosmanoğlu stated that their first project was the North Marmara Motorway and Kocaeli connections and that the highway works were underway. Karaosmanoğlu stated that this road is an important axis that will carry the traffic load of Kocaeli, and in this context, they decided to plan the connection roads to transfer the traffic densities of the city to the Northern Marmara Motorway, and that they shared the connection roads with the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communication. Karaosmanoğlu stated that the Old Istanbul Road was planned as another alternative that will take the traffic burden of Kocaeli.
