In Search of Railway from Karaman to Mersin: An evaluation meeting was held for the investments to be made in the field of transportation in 2013 in Karaman.
Habib Soluk, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Karaman Governor Murat Koca, AK Party Karaman Deputy and President of the Parliament Plan and Budget Commission Lütfi Elvan, AK Party Karaman Deputy Mevlüt Akgün, Mayor Dr. Kamil Uğurlu, Provincial General Assembly Chairman Mustafa Bayır, Highways 3. Regional Director Mahmut Yıldız, contractor companies and press members attended.
At the meeting; Karaman-Ereğli, Karaman-Mut, Mut-Ermenek, Karaman-Bucakkışla-Ermenek, Sarıveliler-Kuşyuvası, Göktepe-Daran-Gazipaşa, Ayrancı-Erdemli, Karaman-Karapınar, Karaman ring road projects were evaluated. In addition, it was stated that there are searches for the Konya-Karaman railway double-line high-speed train project and the railway transportation from Karaman to Mersin, and it was stated that the studies on this subject continue.
Governor Koca stated that these projects, which are in the investment program and started to be built, will contribute greatly to the transportation and economy of Karaman and he will be a constant follower of these projects.
