North Korea plans to move to high-speed train technology in the new era

South Korea's official news agency Yonhap reported that high-speed trains will be launched on the China-North Korea railway line. It was learned that high speed train services are planned to be added to the train services between Dandung, the border city of China with North Korea, and the capital Pyongyang. In the news of Yonhap, who cited local media in China, it was emphasized that the train services, which used to be four days a week, go up to seven days. According to the information received, it was learned that the increasing trade volume between China and North Korea caused this.
On the other hand, it was learned that the North Korean administration will carry out improvement works on the railway line from Pyongyang to the city of Geseong, where South Korean operators have factories. It was stated that the North Korean administration aims to start high-speed train services on the 376 km railway line starting in the city of Shinuiju.
