Historical station destroyed in Malatya

In Hasançelebi town of Hekimhan district of Malatya, the historical station building belonging to TCDD has become “history”.
While the station building, which had a history of 76 in Hasançelebi town, was destroyed overnight, the destruction of the municipality's historical station building after the demand for allocation for the evaluation of the museum caused criticism.
Hasançelebi Mayor Mehmet Şerif Yıldırım said, “Why did they demolish the building that benefits everyone and has a memory for everyone? However, it did not harm anyone, it was sound. We said 'demolish' for the huts that were ruined. Is the main building of the station destroyed? They said you saw it wrong. We said we went and looked again. Unfortunately, the station was not in place. We also took a picture, "he said.
Town residents reacted to the demolition of the historical building and said, “The station building was a very important structure for our town. The building containing our memories and past was destroyed overnight. Moreover, this destruction, which was carried out at a time when attempts were made to build a museum, brings different 'wonders' to mind.
Hasançelebi did not make sense to make the demolition of the station and historical station building, which was designed as a uniform in the country in 1936 and built by German engineers after the request of Hasançelebi Municipality to be considered as a museum.
