Çamlık Steam Locomotive Museum: For train lovers and train modelers, a museum located on the İzmir road, after climbing Selçuk (İzmir) for about 10 km, your road passes through Çamlık Village. After entering the village, you can see the sign of the Çamlık Steam Locomotive Museum, where the veteran steam locomotives of TCDD are gathered together on the right side of the road that goes down a gentle ramp.
The door of the museum, which is not obvious at first sight and is not visible from the outside, is not on the main road, but on the side street. Contrary to my guess, a very well maintained and pleasant environment is prepared, all around is green. Various vehicles and tools used in wagons, cranes and railways, especially veteran steam locomotives, are exhibited inside the museum. There is also an Atatürk and railway section. The railroad adventure of our country, which we could not weave with iron nets, is briefly described with historical photographs.
Although the locomotives in the Çamlık Steam Locomotive Museum are not very well-maintained, it is very nice that they are at least protected and collected in a museum. It is a place that must be visited by the passers-by and the curious.
