When the bituminous hot mix and split road works between the 4770 m-long Ilgaz Mountain Tunnel and the Çankırı-Ilgaz Tunnel are completed, the Western Black Sea Coast is connected to the North TETEK Line via Kastamonu, and is uninterrupted, safe and high up to the borders of Iran and Bulgaria, Ankara and the Mediterranean ports. a standard road network will be established.
In addition, Kastamonu-Çankırı can be passed in 1-1,5 hours. It is estimated that the road to be made with 2 × 2 lanes and bituminous hot mixture coating will save 38 million liras annually.
