Spain to Supply New Trains of Helsinki Metro to Spain

The new subway trains in Helsinki are supplied by Spanish manufacturer Construcciones y AUXILIAR de Ferrocarriles SA-CAF. In the meeting held on October 16, the HKL Executive Board decided that CAF would become a supplier.
As a result of the comparison of all offers submitted in the Helsinki Metro train purchase tender, CAF became the most suitable company in terms of general economy. It is reported that the total price of the subway vehicle purchase tender is 140.409.017 Euros, excluding VAT, and it includes 20 metro trains consisting of four sets.
The contract between Helsinki administration HKL and CAF will be signed at the end of the year. According to the specified contract schedule, the first train will be delivered in 2014 for testing purposes, and all 2015 trains will be delivered in 16-20.
