Antalya-Konya-Aksaray-Nevsehir-Kayseri Railway Project information meeting was held
The Antalya-Konya-Aksaray-Nevşehir-Kayseri Railway Project, whose speed will reach 250 kilometers per hour, prepared by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments, was introduced at the meeting held in Karatay Municipality.
In addition to Mehmet Yazıcıoğlu, Provincial Director of Environment and Urbanization, staff and citizens of the contractor company participated in the program. The Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report of the railway project, which is planned to be carried out at the meeting, was explained by the environmental engineer Çetin Çakır, the coordinator of the contractor firm. Çakır, who shared the EIA report with the public, stated that the project also passed through Konya and added: “The railway project, designed as two separate lines for both passenger and freight transportation, as the main line and the connecting line, which can be operated by electric trains. It consists of sections. Antalya-Konya-Aksaray-Nevşehir-Kayseri main line consists of 2 + 582 kilometers. The total length of the Alanya-Antalya connection line is 613.29 + 57 kilometers. The line that will pass through Konya will pass through the districts of Seydişehir, Meram and Karatay and reach the Aksaray province border. 347.14 kilometers of the railway project in total will pass through the provincial borders of Konya. ” Providing information about the types of art structures to be built, Çakır said, “There will be 213.500 tunnels, 82 viaducts and 43 stations between Antalya and Kayseri. In Alanya connection, 9 tunnels, 20 viaducts and 4 stations will be built. One of these stations to be built between Antalya and Kayseri will be two stations for Konya, one of which is Seydişehir and the other is Konya station. While doing this project, the location of the line had to be revised in some places. We made a revision by changing the course of the line in two places in Konya. One of them was where Seydişehir Prison was located, the second was in the area where the shooting area was located. Since the line entered these positions, we had to pass it outside. We could not revise the area where Bozdağ Wildlife Area is located. Here in some places we will pass the line through this area with the viaduct and tunnel method. We changed our line in many places like this. ” Expressing that there are several reasons for choosing the project route, Çakır said, “These routes were preferred considering the cost of construction, construction time, environmental pollution, land use, meeting the project criteria, feasibility, maintenance and operational difficulty and cost. He was used. Stating that the project may have potential environmental impacts during the construction phase and operation phase, Çakır said, “Liquid and solid wastes that will result from the staff working at the construction sites. Exhaust emissions from equipment to be used, noise from equipment to be used may occur. Waste may also arise from the washing, maintenance and repair of the equipment to be used during the operation of the line. ”
