The work that started on 10 November 2011 within the scope of extending the ALİAĞA-Menderes light rail system line to Torbalı continues at full speed. 95 percent of the infrastructure works of the second line, which is continued by Gürsesli İnelsan company, has been completed. Completing the filling work in an area of 25 kilometers, the teams completed the laying of rails after the filling. With the inclusion of Torbalı in the project, İZBAN line will increase to 110 kilometers. Within the scope of the additional line to be built on Aliağa-Menderes Suburban System, Tekri, Pancar, Develi village, Torbalı and Tepeköy will be built one more station after Cumaovası Station. With the commissioning of the line, passengers boarding from Aliağa and the city center will have the opportunity to have a safe, fast, uninterrupted and comfortable journey to Torbalı. Following the completion of the iron rail laying work, the electrical system of the line will be laid.
