A Concession Agreement was signed between MTR company, Beijing Infrastructure Investment Corporation Limited, Beijing Capital Group Limited and Beijing Municipal Government for the Beijing Metro 14 Line Public-Private Partnership (PPP) project.
When the Beijing Metro 14 Line opens, it will be the backbone of public transportation between the south and east sections and will provide great convenience for the local community.
Beijing Metro 70 Line, which will be operated with 30% public and 14% private participation, will serve as part a and part b.
Construction of the line began in 2010. The first line is expected to start serving in the 2013, the second line in 2015.
