On the same day, the railway crossing in the Marmara Sea will be opened in Marmaray. Thus, intercontinental passenger transportation will be possible, a first in the world.

After the project is fully implemented, 50 thousand people are expected to travel between Istanbul and Ankara daily. Sultan II. The old line, which carried passengers from Haydarpaşa to Hicaz by Abdülhamit and is still in use today, will remain open for freight trains to continue their flights.
