WISCO produces 170.000 mt high speed rail track in January-September

Hubei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Wuhan Iron and Steel Co. (WISCO) announced that it produced 170.000 mt heavy rail for the Beijing-Wuhan high-speed train project in the first nine months of this year.

In accordance with the supply agreement signed with the China Railway Administration, WISCO produced a total of 170.000 mt of heavy rails in the January-September period this year, including 400.000 mt of heavy rails for high-speed rail construction.

WISCO also stated that it has produced 16.000 mt of UIC 54 standard heavy rails for an export order from Pakistan.
