With the project planned by the 6th Regional Directorate of TCDD, another line parallel to the existing Konya Karaman railway line will be added. With the project to be completed, the number of trips from 19 on the existing Konya-Karaman railway line will be increased to 34. Accordingly, the number of freight trips from 15 will increase to 20 at the end of the project.
Konya-Mersin dual line freight transport activities should be initiated: Between Mersin and Mersin, a double-channel infrastructure suitable for container transportation should be established between two provinces.
Passenger and freight transportation between Konya-Mersin and Yenice station is delayed due to the full capacity of the line between Ulukışla and Yenice, and this line increases the problems experienced by passing the Taurus Mountains. In order to solve this problem, it is necessary to complete the works that will make the Toprakkale-Adana-Mersin and Yenice-Ulukışla-Boğazköprü line signaled. In the context of signaling, the telecommunications system of the sector in question should also be renewed.
