Gulf Countries Railway Project Continues at Full Speed

The railway attack continues in the United Arab Emirates. 1200 km. Etihad Rail, project manager for the long rail network, has issued a tender invitation for the second phase of the line.

The new segment, which was put out to tender, includes the design and construction of a 137 km line from Ruwais to Gweifat near the Saudi border, and two lines of 190 km from Al Ain to Liwa Junction (Tarife) on the Oman border. Etihad Rail stated that a tender notice will be published in the next few months for the contracts remaining in the second phase of the project.

The UAE part of the Gulf Countries Railway project, which is planned to be built with these two sections, will be completed. Currently, the construction of the 264 km section extending from Ruwais to Habshan and Shah is continuing, and work is underway to open this section next year.
