Istanbul YHT Project is in progress

Minister Binali Yıldırım said that we are working to complete the Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Train Project on October 29, 2013 as planned.
Binali Yıldırım, the Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, who came to the Gulf District of Kocaeli for a series of investigations, said that they are working to complete the Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Train Project (YHT) on October 29, 2013 as planned. Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Binali Yıldırım, who came to the construction site of the Körfez District of Yarimca in Kocaeli to investigate the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Train Project's Köseköy-Gebze section, received a briefing from Kocaeli Governor Ercan Topaca, Kocaeli Metropolitan Mayor İbrahim Karaosmanoğlu. Later, answering the questions of the press members about the High Speed Train project, Minister Yıldırım said in a statement regarding the Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Train Project that there was no problem in the project and that the works were carried out to be completed on October 29, 2013 as planned. On the question of a journalist's criticism that Railways were built with foreign sources, Minister Yıldırım said, “You never mind them. The men who do not have a job have no power, they say to those who do business. They happen and do not have much reputation. Look at what is done, what does Izmit say? Let them ask Izmit. It is easier to learn Sakarya, Ankara, Sivas, Eskişehir and what is going on in the railways. Now let's go over that chapter and take a look at our work. ” said.
Stating that the Ankara-Istanbul railway project has certain stages, Minister Yıldırım said, “We opened Ankara-Eskişehir in 2009. The section from Eskişehir to İnönü is over and waiting. Studies continue from İnönü to Köseköy. 56 kilometers from Köseköy to Gebze are completely renewed. There are two lines and an additional line. Why? Because there are too many industrial facilities in this region and there are too many populations. Therefore, there are two lines here, TEM road and D-100 Highway. Izmit is still having serious problems with the traffic load. Thinking about transit traffic, we added a third line here. This is the subject that was later included in the project. What effects does this have on the progress of the project? We got some information about that. We saw that there is no problem. As the project is completed, efforts are continuing to be completed on October 29, 2013. ” said.
Minister Yıldırım, who said that the transportation was carried out on a part of 17 kilometers between Derince and Köseköy, said: “Generally, the line is closed now and only 17 kilometers between Derince and Köseköy are being transported. Obligatory export is an important branch. When other parts are made, it will be included in the project that will be taken on that branch again. At the moment, it seems to be finished, with a total of close to 20 percent. If we do not count the removal of the old line as a whole, one hundred percent lifting has been done. Rails and other materials are coming step by step. It's all right. Our goal is to finish in the planned process. Therefore, you need to follow. Our governor is following even though he has no direct job. Thanks to our mayor, he spends time between his works and follows them. Because of this, Kocaeli, Izmit, Istanbul and Turkey's business and they thank you. If I regularly see the progress of this project on the spot, I will come here to interfere with them. ” said.
