Pozantı district of Adana Belemedik positions in the fire yesterday evening in the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) is also quenched with support.
The Regional Directorate of Forestry response team, which received the fire notice, reached the scene in a short time and started extinguishing works. The teams experienced difficulties in responding to the fire that broke out between TCDD's 20 and 21 tunnels due to the lack of road transport. Thereupon, Adana Forest Regional Manager Mehmet Zeki Temur requested help from TCDD. With the instruction of Adana Governor Hüseyin Avni Coş, two wagons were allocated to the Regional Directorate of Forestry by TCDD Regional Directorate. At the Durak station, 2 sprayers were loaded on wagons and transported to the fire scene. Foresters, who intervened in the fire under difficult conditions in the stony, rocky, steep and forested area with no roads, managed to control the fire after their hard work.
Forest Regional Manager Temur thanked TCDD Regional Directorate and Adana Governorship for their contribution in combating forest fires.
