Marmaray project is one of the biggest projects of all time. The scope of the project is as follows. Railway lines on both sides of the Bosphorus will be connected to each other by a railway tunnel connection that will pass under the Bosphorus. The line will go underground in Kazlıçeşme; the new underground stations, Yenikapı and Sirkeci, will pass under the Bosphorus Strait, another new underground station will be connected to Üsküdar and Söğütlüçeşme'de surfaced again.
I wanted to share with you the Marmaray Yenikapı construction pictures I saw from my hotel in Aksaray during my stay in Istanbul. The cube pieces in the plastic crates you will see in the pictures are said to have come out of the 3 historic ship found during construction. These 18-20 m-length historic wooden vessels will be opened to visitors after waiting for 4 years in medicated pools.
