Preparations are underway for the "Trabzon - Tirebolu - Gümüşhane - Erzincan Railway Line Project" planned to be realized by the General Directorate of Turkish State Railways (TCDD) Enterprise.
According to the information received by the Investments Magazine; The 7st Review and Evaluation Commission (IAC) Meeting of the project, which is expected to cost approximately 1 billion liras, was held on May 14, 2012. EIA studies related to the project are carried out by MGS Project. The survey project engineering works of the line were made by the General Directorate of Infrastructure Investments to Yüksel Domaniç. This year, preparatory work on the construction tender
expected to start.
Approximately 330 + 670 km long Trabzon - Tirebolu - Gümüşhane - Erzincan Railway Line; It was designed as two separate lines, both for departure and arrival, for both passenger and cargo transportation purposes, and for trains that will operate with electricity, 2 km of the line is Erzincan - Trabzon section (Main Line) and 240 + 85 km of Gümüşhane - Tirebolu section
(Line Connection) planned.
