The road renewal works initiated by the State Railways between Manisa and Alaşehir within the scope of the accelerated train project have reached the final stage.
The officials stated that the road renewal works carried out in two stages have reached the final stage and said, “The road renewal works between Manisa and Salihli, which started in July 2011, were completed in November 2011. On the other hand, the second phase of the Salihli-Alaşehir line, which started on 12 December 2011, has come to the stage of completion. As the State Railways, we are constructing the Salihli-Alaşehir line, which is the second stage of the project related to the road renewal work, with our own personnel. The materials used in railway renovation works are 2% domestic. Train tracks are produced at the Kardemir Steel factory in Karabük. These steels are the second highest quality product produced in the world after Italy. These renovation works will be completed within 15 days.
As of the date of completion of the road renewal works carried out within the scope of the Accelerated Train Project, railway transportation between Alaşehir and Manisa will be easier and more risk-free.
