At the meeting held on May 23, TCDD Board of Directors discussed the construction tender of the Başkentray Project, which was offered by 17 domestic and foreign companies and partnerships, including important companies from Russia, China, Spain and Italy.
At the meeting, it was decided that Gülermak-Kolin Business Partnership, which made the lowest bid with 186 million 235 thousand 935 euros, won the tender for the realization of the project.
TCDD's 350 million 832 thousand 791 euro approximate cost was determined by the tender of the project on 25 April at the TCDD General Directorate Meeting Hall. The tender was submitted by 17 domestic and foreign companies and partnerships.
The Ankara-based Başkentray Project, which will make a major contribution to Ankara's urban passenger transport, also includes many innovations. With the Başkentray Project planned to be transported to 36 million passengers annually, Ankara-Istanbul, Ankara-Konya and Ankara-Sivas High Speed Train Projects will be provided in Ankara. High Speed Train (YHT) travel time between 110 and 19 minutes in Ankara-Xinjiang will shorten 8 minutes to 11 minutes. The travel time between Ankara and Eskişehir will also decrease to 1 hours.
The existing 4 roads between Ankara and Behiçbey will increase to 2, 2 for high-speed trains, 2 for suburban and 6 for conventional trains. A total of 2 roads will be constructed between Behiçbey and Sincan, 2 for high-speed trains, 1 for suburban and 5 for conventional trains.
Between Ankara and Kayas, there will be 2 suburban units, 1 units and 1 units for 4 units. 36 mileage will be laid on the total 184 kilometer. Within the scope of the project, 25 platform, 13 highway underpass, 2 highway overpass, 26 pedestrian underpass and 2 pedestrian overpass will be constructed.
- Removing obstacles in stations -
The stations will be made available to disabled citizens. Each station will be built with escalators and elevators. Closed station areas where passengers can meet their needs such as food, books, newspapers in Sincan, Lale, Etimesgut, Hippodrome, Yenişehir, Mamak and Kayaş will be formed. Yenişehir station located in the city center at the bottom, the other 6 station on the station will be built modern buildings.
- The capital is integrated with other metro lines -
Başkentray Project will be integrated with existing rail systems in Ankara city. A connection will be made with Keçiören Metro at Ankara Gar, Batıkent Metro at Yenişehir Station, and Ankaray at Kurtuluş and Maltepe stations. A modern station will be built in Emirler so that the passengers in the west of Ankara, which is growing and developing in terms of population, can use YHT before arriving at the Ankara Train Station, with the construction of subway management between Kayaş and Sincan.
There will also be a place to carry out new passenger services and shopping places. The suburban line will be separated from transit railway traffic and will be transformed into a more functional, high standard, comfortable, safe and preferable transportation type for time, operation and user. With the signal system to be installed, 2,5 will be able to operate a commuter train in minutes. The Ankara-Sincan section of the Başkentray Project is planned to be completed in 15 months and the Ankara-Kayaş section will be completed in 18 months.
