Siemens Won the Tender for Athens Metro Signaling Systems

Siemens is about 16 km long Greek capital Metro Lines 2. and 3. won the tender for extension and signaling systems. It was learned that the contract was worth 41 million Euros.

Metro Lines 2 and 3 will be equipped with seven stations and signaling systems after expanding 8.5 kilometers in the first phase. In the second phase, signaling systems will be installed on the 3 km extension of the 7.5rd line. The first phase of the contract will be put into service in autumn 2013.

The signaling extension contract includes LZB 705M automatic train control systems and Vicos 111 operations control system Sicas electronic delivery, assembly and commission costs.
