Tender of new railway line from København to Ringsted in Denmark

There are six companies candidate for initial construction works on the 56 km København - Ringsted line in the west of the capital, said Banedanmark, infrastructure manager. While the tender for the design and construction of the five bridges is planned to be given in the middle of the year, all contracts together with the main contracts are expected to be completed by the end of 2013.

With Roskilde, the east-west line between København and Jylland will join with the Øresund fixed connection and the north-south corridor connecting Sweden and Germany via the future Fehmarn Belt tunnel, the existing main line is designed to operate as an electric double-track road up to 250 km / h.

2018 was announced by the Danish government in 2020 where it is an important element in the Banedanmark strategic plan to provide services with double network capacity in the XIUMX mixed traffic route 2010 planned to be opened at the end of the year.

Tenders for rail systems will continue in 2013-14 and will be completed at the end of 2015. The 25 kV 50 Hz electrification and ETCS Level 2 tenders will be completed at the end of 2017 and the test drive will be held in mid-2018.
