RTA supports Dubai subway extensions

After two separate works, the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority intends to obtain the government's approval to create the International City, Academic City, which is the extension of the 20 km Metro Green Line, and the Dubai Lagoons Etisalat line, which is planned to open in five years.

It stands out as part of the city's Ray Master Plan for driverless metro lines, which will soon be presented to the national government as part of Dubai's Vision 2030 strategy.

The Dubai government has implemented a $ 10 million financing package that will allow the delayed Al Sufouh Tramway project 1 km section 2014 to be completed by November 675. The agreement includes $ 13 million with a 401-year guarantee by the Belgian and French government lenders ONDD and COFACE. Citigroup, Deutsche Bank and HSBC signed a joint agreement within the scope of the financing.
The line consisting of 13 stations and 11 Alstom Citadis 402 trams from the Dubai marina to the information village could not be realized due to the financing difficulties of the line planned to be opened in 2011.
