The stork, which was hit and injured by the High Speed Train (YHT) in Eskişehir, was operated in the veterinary clinic where it was taken.
YHT hit a stork near Eskişehir Station. Citizens who were seriously injured as a result of the crash and put the stork on the rail line on the edge of the rails reported the situation to the authorities of the Provincial Directorate of Environment and Urbanization. The officers who came to the scene took the injured stork to the veterinary clinic called Noah's Ark, located on Teachers Street in Vişnelik Mahallesi. Veterinarian Naci Uncu put the broken stork into the operation with his wings and shoulder.
Naci Uncu said that the operation made to the female stale who had a bad condition when she was brought to the clinic was successful.
“We examined it and took an x-ray. The stork had both fragmented and open fractures on the shoulder of the left wing. She had to have her wing cut or the stork put to sleep. But our hearts did not help. Because if we cut his wing, he would not be able to continue his natural life again. Our hearts did not agree to be put to sleep either. We decided to try our luck. We performed our surgery under general anesthesia, which lasted an hour and a half. We collected the fragmented fractures on the shoulder of our stork's left wing around an 18-centimeter platinum. We have done such surgeries on cats and dogs before. But this is the first time we've done this kind of surgery on a stork. The operation was successful. Now the stork is in good health. When the stork heals, we will leave it to the natural world.
