The foundations of the new bridges that will give breathing to Ankara Road by Bursa Metropolitan Municipality were laid by Deputy Prime Minister Bülent Arınç and Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Recep Altepe.
The foundation of the bridges on Hacivat, Balıklıdere and Deliçay was laid within the scope of the BursaRay East stage, which will bring the light rail system to Kestel and Gürsu, and the rehabilitation works of the Hacivat Bridge have also started.

At the ceremony held with intense participation, Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Recep Altepe said that the narrow and old bridges, which were the expectation of Bursa for years, about 60 years ago and that do not meet the needs today, will be rebuilt.

Mayor Altepe pointed out that nearly 100 sports facilities have been constructed today and pointed out that Uludağ will return to the construction site in the summer months.
Transportation overtime in Bursa
Stating that the works related to transportation are continuing intensively, President Altepe said, “More than 2,5 buildings were expropriated in 600 years only to open roads, to build sports facilities and parks. Our intersection works are also continuing rapidly. Soon we are starting work on Demirtaş Köprülü Crossroads. On the other hand, urban and city center tram studies and projects continue. "We will start our work on the T1 line that will pass through the city center within 2 months."
Noting that the most important investment in public transportation is the metro lines, Mayor Altepe said, “We are continuing the construction of the Eastern stage in BursaRay. When completed, this will be the first line to be tendered and finished during this period. With the 8 km line, the rail system works in Bursa will reach the 40 km line. In this way, we will catch Istanbul, ”he said.
Stating that strong investments are continuing in every field in Bursa, President Altepe said, “This period has exceeded the investments made in the last period by 3 million TL, before the completion of 100 years. We said that Bursa will be talked about this period, Bursa will always be on the agenda with our works ”.
The new bridges will lead to 9 lanes
Mayor Altepe, regarding the bridge renovation works, said, “We are expanding the road with 3 lanes bridges in Hacivat, Balıklıdere and Deliçay, with 3 lanes departure, 8,5 lanes arrival and the 9 meter BursaRay bridge in between. Our goal is to complete these constructions at the beginning of the year and start the rail system in spring next year. Bridges that will be constructed as reinforced concrete and prefabricated here will cost 19 million TL. In this context, the part extending under the Eastern Near Ring Road in an area of 3500 meters in Hacivat Creek is also being rehabilitated. At the same time, arrangement and park work will be done along the stream. Stream improvement will cost 12 million TL. All these works will cost approximately 32 million TL in total, ”he said.
Mayor Altepe stated that the work carried out by Öztimurlar Construction will be completed as soon as possible.
